When I close my eyes, I can still see him in front of me: my teacher, the watchmaker.
Learn more about the faces behind the Haldimann brand
His loupe, his hands and his white coat remain vivid in my memory to this day. His wonderful workshop is where I did my apprenticeship as a watchmaker and watch repairer, learning how to restore antique and modern masterpieces.
Entranced by this symbiosis of art and technology, of the work of the hand and the work of the mind, I soon felt a desire to build my own creations. At Haldimann, every timepiece is designed, built and finished right here at our manufacture. This allows us to incorporate art, technology and quality into every single one. And because each timepiece is unique, it retains its value extremely well over time. Each Haldimann timepiece is one of a kind. That means we can take your ideas and suggestions into account as we hand-make a timepiece just for you.
The unique family tradition of Haldimann horologists extends back as far as 1642. Haldimann pursues lasting ideals. Independence and self-determination are what allow us to do this. The benefits of full creative freedom, of maintaining the highest quality standards and of keeping all production exclusively in-house have been evident in every single timepiece and movement we have produced over the centuries.
